Do you ever reminisce of the time when your parent rocked you in your cradle, peering at you while singing you a lullaby?

Lullabies are mellifluous, somnolent tunes that are perfect to calm your toddler down and make them sleep. One of the oldest and memorable lullabies for kids is “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”.

This particular lullaby plays an important part in the lives of many a mother whose obstreperous child have difficulties in going to sleep without a soothing melody. Would it befuddle you to know that the “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” lullaby traces its way all the way back to mozart?

But this famous cradle song de facto is an adaptation from a 19th Century Jane Taylor poem called “The Star”.  

There exist a variety of adaptions of the poem around the world. However, the most prominent one today still retains its original form. But in the version we’re going to sing (and we urge you to sing along), we luckily have four of our friends to help us: Rocco the croc, Lana, Juni and Jojo! 

As they dance and sing to the twilight in the night sky, extending wishes to the star-studded sky, they prance and frolic around the bonfire.

The lullaby’s tone is so easy on the tongue that even your infant would giggle and try to hum along. No bedtime routine for children should be complete without humming to the tune of this song! 

Not just would you as a parent have the chance to shower regular, filial love to your child, but also be able to take the child on a journey through the trees, mountains and skies through the lullaby’s colorful story. 

And in turn, this also serves as the stepping stones for your child to get accustomed to the English language and pronunciation. The regular recital of children lullabies ensures active growth and development of your child’s cognitive abilities. This also improves the language-learning abilities of your child. 

It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think of this song as helpful for your child if they’re motivated to take up English as a second or foreign language. The music and rhythm of the lullaby are vital to the child’s memorial retention. 

As you sing along to the soothing tunes of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, it’s always a good practice to encourage your little one to sing with you. 

A good follow-up exercise would be to ask your toddler questions like, “How many birds did you see?”
